Summer Fun

Hi Hi!  It's Molly here.

I hijack Cora's blog, because Emily and I had lots of fun the other day and wanted to share it with you. We are so sad that we are being retired, BUT we are active and very much apart of this family here. We will always be. So here are the pictures of what we did.

Emily and I went outside and played.  We talked and talked and really got to know each other all over again.
Then we played Hide and Go Seek. That is one of my favorite games!  Emily was It first and I got to hide. We switched when she found me, and did that a couple of times.

Emily favorite Game is Tag. So we played that. I was It first because she was it in the first game first.

After our game of tag, we decided just to go for a walk. It was a really lovely day out and we saw lots of birds.  Mostly sparrows and scrub jays. We even saw a humming bird!

Soon we sat down and had a drink of water. Don't tell MissE, but we got it out of the hose!  It was so much fun.  I showed Emily how to drink from it. MissE doesn't mind all that much, as she used to do that when she was little. I was kind and didn't spray Emily, although I was thinking about it.

MissE came out a little later and wanted us to pose for a picture. She thought we were so cute, just the two of us playing.

Emily wanted to climb the vine so we did that too. She is a really good climber, me not so much.

We also played soldiers.  Here we are marching, standing up as straight as can be.

It was a wonderful day, and one I hope to continue with my best friend Emily.  Thank you for sharing it with me, and Cora for letting me hop onto her blog.

Hello Everyone,
It's MissE here. That is what the girls love to call me, and I don't mind one bit. I wanted to pop onto Cora's blog and just share a little about me and what I do, who I am. I have always loved stuffed animals, and it seems dolls as well, ever since I was little. For some reason, I don't know what but they just captivated my imagination. There is a picture of me at a historic site, around 10 years old or so with a smurf, yes smurfs are older than you think, in my hands. I would also always play with Barbie and enacted many story lines for them.

Fast forward a few years, and my Grandmother and Mother started giving me porcelain dolls. I loved them, they were display only of course, but I really did love to display them. That is how I got started collecting dolls, so to speak. In my collection today I still have a few of my porcelain dolls, some got ruined in storage. I have American Girl dolls, Barbie, Hearts for Hearts, Harmony Club, and Novi Stars.

I want you all to understand. If you have at least 1 AG doll, consider yourself blessed. Well anything really, but we are the lucky ones. Dolls are fabulous, they really are. They are wonderful to have and to cherish. Also remember that no matter someone's age, you can still love dolls. My Grandmother collects Madam Alexander dolls. So don't look down on someone's age just because they are older. There is never an age limit for dolls. Don't be ashamed to collect, and don't make fun of people who do.

Love,
MissE

Monday Blues

Well Happy Monday Everyone.  And wouldn't you know it, it is the perfect Monday blues weather. We have been having some wonderful weather outside lately, here. But wouldn't you know it, today it is dark and rainy and cooler. It's even a holiday for goodness sakes. MissE was going to take us outside to explore the backyard, maybe even some cool spots in front, but we can't. Not with the camera and I really don't like to get wet, well outside of baths and showers and that sort of thing. So guess what guys, its inside for me. But this will let me introduce you to my friends. Mom just picked up one other lucky girl, so now we have 16 new friends. I'll have to meet Mia myself and then tell you all about her.

Anyway you have met Lydia and I.  So let me introduce you to the rest of the gang. I have all their pictures in one spot, MissE's computer. Again she is letting me borrow it for this posts. We all get a chance to have some fun on the computers. So let's get started. Molly was the first girl who MissE came upon, she was in need of a home very badly, so MissE took her off the ebay streets.

Molly is well Molly. She is shy, cute, and very sweet. She is also brave, and likes to take care of us. She is a good friend. She likes to live in 1944

Felicity choose to come and stay with us. She is outgoing, fearless, and adventurous. If your ready for some adventure she is the one to take along. She likes to live in 1774.

Lanie also choose to come to stay with us. She is also adventurous, loves the outdoors and nature. She wants to teach people to love the earth and everything on it.

Elizabeth is still kind of finding out who she is. She choose to come and stay with us. She likes to live in 1812. This picture is from before, she picked her favorite time period.

Aven in another who choose to come live with us. She is a dancer, and loves to perform on the stage. Her favorite dance style is Broadway, but she dabbles in a little bit of everything. This is after a ballet recital she had. She is good friends with Lanie, because the both like to be outside as well. Aven has been in a few productions in the area. She likes to dress up in costumes.

Samantha came to us from a home who didn't want her anymore. She is oppionated, outspoken, outgoing and likes to have things her way. She thinks she is a movie star, but we all love her anyway. She does have a sweet side as well. When she loves she loves with all her heart.  Samantha likes 1904

Emily came to us also from a home, but a loving home. They just couldn't take care of her anymore.  She is our little Bristish Miss. She is Molly's best friend and is reserved herself. She admires Samantha and always likes to help her out with her schemes. She likes 1944

Enter Genevieve. She choose to come and live with us. She is shy and quiet, doesn't say to much, so some people think she is stuck up. She has a hard time making friends, like Lydia.  She goes with MissE when she does Civil War Reeancting. She is MissE's companion. Genevieve lives in 1864.

Rebecca choose to come live with us. She is traditional, sophisticated, and friendly. She clings tight to her Jewish traditions. She is a German Jew.  She is very warm and inviting and loves to be around people and share her traditions with them. She is a wonderful friend. Rebecca likes 1914.

Carys came to live with us from the mean streets of ebay. She was so unrecognizable that MissE sent her to get a makeover. She is Welsh. She is the fasionista of our little group, and loves to shop.  She is a sweet girl by nature as well though. Carys likes 1904.

Nellie is cute, spunkey, and sponteanous. She is a sanguine an loves to have fun, and feel free. She also loves that side of Samantha and so the two of them are often seen together. Running around causing a rukous. We love Nellie. She likes 1904.

Kirsten in such a sweet girl. I know I said that about a lot of friends, but it is true. She is quiet, but is such a gentle lamb. She is innocent, trusting an loving. She has been bounced around from home to home, until MissE saw that she was looking and needed a home. Kirsten hopes she found a place to stay forever she loves all of us. Kirsten like 1854.

Ruthie is another spunky girl. She is a dreamer, loves fairy tales and all things Disney. She is waiting for her Prince Charming. Ruthie choose to come live with us. She like 1934.

Sonora is our last friend. Unfortunately MissE's computer didn't save a single picture of her, but if you watch youtube, look for bearificgirl, and that is MissE, you will find Sonora. She is a dancer, and so is friends with Aven. Sonora's background is unknown as she came to us from the streets of Ebay.  She will go to the hospital one day, so that she can be all fixed up.

I hope you enjoyed meeting all our friends. See you next time,
<3 Cora

Visiting

Hello Everyone and Welcome to my blog. We have actually tried this once before, but it never really took off anywhere. So we are trying again.  This is me, I'm an 18inch American Girl doll, named Cora lynn Monroe.  Hence the blog name up at the top.  I live with my 15 other friends in a group home. Well its not really a group home, per say, as we are all friends and live together and aren't part of the system, but we're not really a school either. It is really hard to explain. Any we have a loving care taker who is loving called MissE.  She is great, anyway here is a picture of me.

Anyway, this week MissE is house sitting at her friends house and watching their dogs.  I was able to take a friend and so I picked Lydia. She is great, and adventures, but also a little shy. MissE wants to break her out of her shell, but it takes love and caring to do that. She is one of my best friends, and so I wanted to bring her along.  Here is Lydia.

Anyway we decided when MissE was away that we were going to explore the house and backyard. It was so much fun!  I'll post another blog of the outside and the dogs, here is the exploring we did inside. Lydia really loved this cool fire place and fire equipment.

Playing with dolls is one of my favorite things to do, and it was so much fun, because MissE's friend has children. So we played with the doll house.
We made friends with the others in the house as well. Here we are with the mooses.  They were really nice, and very funny. They kept telling us jokes. We were barely able to get this picture before we started cracking up again. If we were in my favorite movie Mary Poppins, I'm sure we would have been on the ceiling!

Lydia taught me something on the piano. Neither one of us plays, we have always wanted to learn, but we know a few things, so we just messed around a little.

And lastly we waited for MissE to come home. We do love her and that she takes very good care of us.

 See you next time,
<3 Cora
